Dramatic draw for Shilton

Earl Shilton...170

Lutterworth....170

(Everards County Premier)

EARL SHILTON and Lutterworth featured in a dramatic draw on Saturday (3rd) when both teams were bowled out for the same score of 170 runs.

Earl Shilton batted first, and despite 54 from Ben Schumacher, 42 from Kevin Shaw and 32 from Joel Pope, the rest of the line-up struggled for runs. As a consequence, the Keats Laners were dismissed in only 49 overs.

However, Lutterworth's batsmen also found the going tough, with Kyle Chamberlain taking 4 for 33 and Rchard Longdon taking 3 for 30. Earl Shilton's bowlers then secured a draw for their side by taking the final wicket in the 51st over with both sides tied on 170.

Easy win for Hinckley

Illston Abey....87

Hinckley Town...90 for 5

(Everards County Premier)

HINCKLEY recorded their first win of the season with a comfortable five wicket over Illston Abey on Saturday (3rd).

Illston batted first, but none of their batsmen managed to get started, thanks largely to a devastating spell of bowling from Town's Paul Fisher. He took for 5 for 10 as Illston struggled to reach 87 in less than 34 overs.

In contrast, Town's batsmen had little trouble reaching their target in 25 overs, despite losing two late wickets.
