Barwell residents to have their say

BARWELL residents are finally being offered the chance to have their say on the future of the village.

A Parish Plan will tell organisations such as the Borough and County Councils, the Primary Care Trust and the Police what they want to see provided for the people of Barwell.

It means the entire community will be consulted to discover people's views on issues such as transport, the environment, housing, young people and leisure facilities.

The first step will be taken on Tuesday (13th) when an open meeting is held at the Vista (AVIC) Centre on Moore Road, starting at 7pm.

Anyone in Barwell who wants to make a real difference to their lives is more than welcome to attend, as the future of the parish is in their hands.

The Rural Community Council (Leicestershire and Rutland) will be helping Barwell Parish Council to draw up the plan.

For more information, please contact Charlotte Burt at the Rural Community Council on 0116 268 9708 or Andy Ellis at Barwell Parish Council on 01455 844229.
